It's a story of America then told by America now. Lin-Manuel Miranda

Hamilton really is as good as everyone says. And the Victoria Palace Theatre delivers, too. The theatre is beautiful, there are people everywhere to serve you, and, most important, Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical is brilliant. Singing, dancing, staging, humor, drama, the rhyme-happy musical has it all and it's performed to perfection.

Box seat in the stalls

I had a box seat in the stalls. It was not one of those hanging-from-the-wall box seats you see in old Cary Grant movies, or in the photos above, but it was roomy, had a good view of the stage, and our friendly waiter (his name was Casper) came to the box (he always knocked first) to take orders and deliver refreshments. Note that you can draw the curtains if you need privacy.

Buckingham Palace

After coming out of the theatre, with the tunes from Hamilton playing in my head, I skipped Victoria station and instead walked northeast, by Buckingham Palace (hello, Charles!), then on to Green Park station.
