As we walked around town on this cool, rainy day we passed through a couple of street markets. One runs down the center of Avenue du President Wilson, in front of the Musée d'Art Moderne, and the second is on Rue Cler, across the Seine in the 7th. Though it was already late morning, the stalls were still busy, selling flowers and meat, fish and dairy, produce and desserts. Prices looked really reasonable. We admired the beautiful fruits and vegetables, were tempted by the desserts, and hung around to watch a fellow make crepes. We enjoyed crepes and macaroons for lunch.
