We are enjoying our stay in Haarlem. What it lacks in geographic interest is more than made up in man-made ways. The canals, the bridges, the skinny buildings that line the old streets, standing claustrophobically shoulder to shoulder, each with its own distinctive look. It is an eye-pleasing city with plenty of shops and eating opportunities.
