L'ile aux Cygnes, or Swan Island, is a long, thin (850 x 11 meters) island in the Seine connecting the Grenelle Bridge to the Bir-Hakeim Bridge. It is named for the swans which were a favourite of King Louis XIV. A tree-lined path runs its length. The western tip of the island features a small replica of the Statue of Liberty.
