Here are a few shots of the Matter valley, starting with a look to the north east. The Matter valley runs north to south and the photos below are arranged in that order. Our goal was to get across the valley, to Grachen, where we'd spend the night, then the next day walk south, down the valley, to Zermatt.
I heard or maybe I read that this is Oh Wow point though I've not seen mention since, so perhaps it was just one person's name for it or maybe I imagined it. In any case it's a good name. Tomorrow I'll stitch the photos together, though I'll stitch more than just these four since more sometimes helps.
