This first day's hike introduced us to the beautiful vistas of trees and mountains that are the Dolomites. Here we were hiking to the northwest and the photo is looking to the right, to the northeast.
The mountain just left of center is 2,860 m Kleine Gaisl (a.k.a. Piccola Croda Rossa).
