Our last day in town was a Monday. Most things (=museums) are closed on Monday, aside from the Gallerie dell'Accademia and two or three off-site exhibits listed as open in the Biennale guide. So we set out for a last day of museum hopping with this short list.

Actually all we had to do was walk out our apartment's front door. From there we could see the sign for one of the few open-on-monday exhibits, the Palestinian pavilion.

The Palestinian exhibit was small; it was one room. But it turned out that the Palestinian pavilion is inside the European Cultural Centre's Palazzo Mora contemporary art gallery. This turned out to be a great find. The gallery is large, it seemed to go on endlessly, room after room, each leading to another room, and all of these rooms filled with contemporary art. Some interesting, some not, like any gallery. And it continued over many floors. (Of course if you go to their website you can find a floorplan that shows all these rooms.)

The fellow at the door isn't checking tickets, it's a free museum. He is there to keep count and limit how many people can be in the museum at a time. There's no line today but earlier in the week there was a wait to get in.
