We'd been hiking for hours—it was after five in the afternoon—when we encountered this wall of rock. We were tired so it was a slow climb.
You might notice some coloured spots in these photos, especially in the one above. This lens' weakness (it's a Tokina 12-24) is a tendency to flare. It does this even when using a hood, and I always use a hood. With the first photo I used the clone tool in Lightroom to remove the worst spots but as you can see there are some remaining.
